RIP: Angie's Core Rat elbow pads

I finally faced the inevitable and sent my now defunct Core Rat elbow pads to the elbow pad repository in the sky. Core Rat pads and other protective wear were made, IIRC, in Squamish, BC.

They were the best: light, simple, stayed in place. Saved me a trip to the ER for a broken elbow when I took a direct hit to a rock.

I replaced the straps at least once. The outer plastic and inner lining were still functional, but my replacement straps just didn't work as well as the originals.

Is there anything like Angie's Core Rat pads available now?

Bringing up this old thread....I just broke/cracked the outer plastic shell in a crash on my Angie core Rat elbow pad. Sad to retire them...only thing I could find somewhat similar was SixSixone comp am elbow pads.

I still have all my original Roach wear, which is still in great shape.

Similar vintage as Core Rat. Ingrid though, not Angie. North Shore.
