rain pants
got a question for you folks.
in regards to rain pants, do cycling rain pants make difference over your basic rainpants?
I had some burley rain pants in the 90s and when they took a dive,i went back to basic gortex rainpants. they are heavy but work extremely well. do single ply cycling rainpants work better than your typical double ply rain pants?
I use a burley rain coat versus your basic rain shell.
thanks
tim
ps i do live in idaho and if you want to ride, you have to ride in the rain. it is just part of life.

Is it cold?
If it's warm rain then I'd just wear shorts, but if it's cold I'd go for a single waterproof layer with something like an aerated mesh on the inside.
We had some Sombrio pants to wear last year at work and they were brilliant except for the fact that you had to wear XL's for them to come low enough to cover your ankle mid pedal stroke.
