    Race face rip strip

I've really been enjoying riding packless lately. But the hot weather is coming and I only have room for one water bottle on my bike. So I'm looking for a way to carry a second bottle and maybe a little extra food and supplies.

The race face rip strip looks like it would be just the thing. But I can't tell how large a water bottle it would carry. It kind of looks like a 22 ounce one might not be very secure. Anyone have one and care to chime in? Thanks!

It's a piece of crap. While it works well for lighter stuff, a water bottle is a bit much and the zippers fail instantly. Poor quality.

Well, then, never mind. I'll stick with jerseys for now. Thanks for the input.

Eh, I've got one and like it. I use it with a 500 mL folding bottle (e.g. Vapur). Agree that a full bottle would be too much. Way better than riding with a pack for short rides though, and fits well under a shirt.
Stitching quality isn't great, but I can operate a sewing machine so no big deal for me. Haven't busted any zips. For $40 CDN it's so cheap I find it hard to complain.

Where did you get it for 40 cdn? Would much rather pay that than 40 us.

My LBS. That's the Canadian MSRP. Try Mountain Equipment Coop maybe?

Why get that instead of a dedicated waist bottle holder?
