POC VPD 2.0 Spine Pack 16

    Hi,
I haven't seen many reviews of this pack. I'd like to pick up something in the 15 litre range with a back protector. If anyone has used this pack, or at least had the chance to compare it with similar models from Evoc or others, please chime in. Thx.

I've been using one for a year/2k miles and I love it. The pack is long, narrow and "thin." The fabric is stretchy in certain places to compress the internal load against the back. The waist belt is stretchy as well. The mesh organizational pockets are adequate for my needs. I typically carry tubes/tool/levers/first aid kit/light jacket/wallet/phone/keys/1-3 liters of water with a bit of room to spare.

I'm 5'10"-5'11" and the pack fits my torso length well.

I have the 20L version. It's one of the best packs I've had and I've had a lot. I could do without the upside down internal pockets but once you get use to it it's not so bad.

I broke my back a couple of years ago when I landed flat on my back... my pump chipped one of my vertebrae. I feel very confident that same thing would not happen with the protection from this pack.
