POC Octal X - can I use SPIN pads in my old Octal X?

I've got an OG Octal X helmet and I'd like to see if I could swap replacement SPIN pads in for the originals.

    Anyone have any insight?

I asked POC, they said that they don't sell retro-fit 'kits', but I don't see how simply swapping out the pads wouldn't get this done...

    Thanks.

I also asked POC and was told no retrofit kits available. You can find Octal X as low as $129 but the Spin version is $250+. Anybody have an Octal X and want to try?
I’d love to “build” a new Spin for $129 + pads... My first thought is maybe the spin pads are in different spots than the regular version?
