    New question here. Pedal/shoe issues...

I currently run crank bros. eggbeater pedals, which I really like due to the clearance and float they have. The problem I am running into is that if I don't clip in as far inboard as possible, my shoes tend to rock to the outside, causing my ankle to roll to the outside. As far as I know, it is being caused by the end of the pedal slipping into the well where the cleat is located. The shoes are bontrager solstice, and they are used for both commute and MTB rides. Has anyone else ever had this problem, and does anyone have ideas on how to fix it? It's really getting uncomfortable...

I have those same shoes, but I have not run into that problem.
