Pads & shoes for skinny people and skinny feet?

    Hi,

Any suggestions as to the Roach/Race Face (Rally FR) vs. Fox Launch knee and shin guards being better for skinny legs? It seems lots of people love the Roach models, not so clear with the Fox, but a tall thin rider I came across said he liked his Fox Launch pads. I am looking for something lighter and cooler than the six six one 4x4s that I have now. I want something better for covering distance than the wrap around 4x4s.

I'm also wondering what flats (no SPD insert) shoes are good for low volume feet. I usually get buy with Shimano SPD-type shoes and some inserts so might try their free ride and dirt jump models unless somebody knows of another that runs narrow.

    Thanks much.

just picked up a set of marzocchi shoes (5.10's) and they work pretty well for my feet.

I'm a tall lanky bastard and I dig my launch pads - i'll be buying another set when these finally kick the bucket. light weight, cool, and work well!

two of my riding buddies are all tall skinny lanky bastards too and they both have sets. Once you break em in (about a week of solid ride time) theyre golden!

The Troy Lee Lopes pads seem to run toward the smaller size. I wear the S/M and they feel more like a small to me and fit great. The Roaches size S/M seemed more like a medium and were too big for me. I'm 5' 8" and 150 if that helps.
