    OT - Helmet Cam

Anyone tried one of these. Self-contained no camcorder required. I have been looking for something to try but didn't like the idea of carrying a camcorder on my pack. Not the best resolution, but for watching on the computer should be fine. I ordered one and it should be delivered today.

I strapped one to my son's helmet this weekend while he was snowboarding. I may have set it up wrong, but it shuts off every five minutes or so. It also runs through batteries pretty fast. I also noticed that the unit felt really warm after we used it even though it had been off for a while. Maybe this is related to draining the batteries somehow. Anyway, we filmed at high resolution, and for the price, the quality of the playback on tv/computer was fine. I just need to spend more time reading about the set-up.
