Not quite Body Armor but it helps!

    Hi,

I have been riding for a year now in the Chicago area. I've been lurking on this site for a few months and I thought it was about time to contribute.

I wear something called HexPads under my clothing when I ride. I would say they are the next step down from body armor and have saved me from a lot of bruises and scrapes. I know that they will not stop a bone from breaking but they really do take a lot off of the impact when I fall or slide. Typically, I will wear the lacrosse shirt under a riding jersey or something similar. The HexPad shirt is actually made from that moisture management stuff, so I stay pretty cool. Of the two people I ride with one of them thinks I'm a wuss for wearing it and the other guy actually bought some for himself. Tell me what you think.
