    Good job! new shoes?

    Woke up cold one Tuesday,
I'm looking tired and feeling quite sick,
I felt like there was something missing in my day to day life,
So I quickly opened the wardrobe,
Pulled out some jeans and a T-Shirt that seemed clean,
Topped it off with a pair of old shoes,
That were ripped around the seams,
And I thought these shoes just don't suit me.

    <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/jeffmtb/NewShoes/photo#5228104677073278850"><img src="https://lh5.ggpht.com/jeffmtb/SI31gQ2C14I/AAAAAAAAA4A/ZdHyoguaEUk/s800/HPIM2016Crop.jpg" /></a>

Hey, I put some new shoes on,
    And suddenly everything is right,
I said, hey, I put some new shoes on and everybody's smiling,
    It's so inviting,

    <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/jeffmtb/NewShoes/photo#5228104490047728882"><img src="https://lh6.ggpht.com/jeffmtb/SI31VYHrbPI/AAAAAAAAA2Y/E8iEt9g29m0/s800/HPIM1869.JPG" /></a>

    Oh, short on money,
    But long on time,
Slowly strolling in the sweet sunshine,

    <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/jeffmtb/NewShoes/photo#5228104497249263138"><img src="https://lh3.ggpht.com/jeffmtb/SI31Vy8qHiI/AAAAAAAAA2o/4N8MZzu5t58/s800/HPIM1875.JPG" /></a>

    And I'm running late,
And I don't need an excuse,
'cause I'm wearing my brand new shoes.

    <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/jeffmtb/NewShoes/photo#5228104509603896946"><img src="https://lh6.ggpht.com/jeffmtb/SI31Wg-O3nI/AAAAAAAAA24/wp4ZEpAMtkc/s800/HPIM1878.JPG" /></a>

    Woke up late one Thursday,
And I'm seeing stars as I'm rubbing my eyes,
And I felt like there were two days missing,
As I focused on the time,
And I made my way to the kitchen,

    <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/jeffmtb/NewShoes/photo#5228104675503242226"><img src="https://lh3.ggpht.com/jeffmtb/SI31gK_t-_I/AAAAAAAAA34/QTUf8mUGMko/s800/HPIM1955.JPG" /></a>

But I had to stop from the shock of what I found,
A room full of all off my friends dancing round and round,
And I thought hello new shoes,
    Bye bye them blues.

    <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/jeffmtb/NewShoes/photo#5228108693168680290"><img src="https://lh5.ggpht.com/jeffmtb/SI35KB9zbWI/AAAAAAAAA5o/tUACwtVQfyk/s800/HPIM1957.JPG" /></a>

Hey, I put some new shoes on,
    And suddenly everything is right,

Just yesterday I was dreaming about Rollins...

It's called Rollins Pass (a.k.a. Corona Pass) which is SW of Boulder, CO. This is the old railroad grade over the Continental Divide between Denver and Winter Park, which was used before the tunnel was built (note the old trestle). You used to be able to drive it in a 4x4, but the "Eye of the Needle tunnel" collapsed, blocking the route. We drove it to Winter Park once (when the tunnel was open for a short time), and I rode down the West (Winter Park) side into town. Outstanding downhill ride!

    "It's gotta be the shoes..."

Wonder if my next ride will turn out as nice if I get a shiny new pair of Sidi's. Maybe if I click my heels like Dorothy. Great pics!

That is some very funny dialog with along with some great shots. I always buy SIDIS and every time it's a sad state of affairs just getting them dirty, they are such a work of art. But after that initial ride it all seems ok scarring them up. It's like they are going into battle for ya.

Those trails look great. I'd be happy wearing the most beat-up, ugly, uncomfortable shoes on that, but some new SIDIs would help.

Funny thing, right after I submitted this thread, I was listening to kbco on-line the song came on. So I had to go back and follow along with the song. It was an enhanced experience

Nice pics. Mine are still on the camera, and the camera is in a drawer. I'll have to unload them this weekend. Fun riding last weekend.

    Here's a pano I finally put together...

Wow, a lot of snow up there yet. Just thinking about that route the other day as I am planning an overnighter out and back to WP.

    Excellent photos!
