    Need for waterproof backpack?

I''ve realized that my low-pro 2L hyrdo-pack is great for riding close to home, but not what I need for longer excursions.

I'm interested in all-day rides and maybe even an overnight ride/camp trip once or twice a year with only the minimum of essentials.

Does anyone else do this and could you recommend storage capacity and/or waterproofing?

I found this Fox Portage on sale. I really like the Fox hydro pack that I have and think that the reservoir/tubing system is fantastic. Would you go for this pack for similar purposes?

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking forward to much longer rides in the South now that Fall is here!

Not sure what you're really after, but I've been looking at one of these:

    SealLine® Urban Backpack™ PVC-free

Haven't bought yet (altho I own a larger Seal Line pack for canoe trips), but they look pretty nice. It would be the ultimate in waterproof, altho no provision for water bladder hose.
    whatever...
