    is my helmet too small??

Hey guys..so I ordered a Fox Transition MTB helmet and it arrived today.

I had measured my head and knew that the small/medium helm matched my head size.

The Fox Transition only has two sizes: small/medium and large/X-Large.

Well i took it out of the box and put it on and the liner fits perfect on my melon BUT the helmet itself sits pretty high on my head and when looking at the side of it its about 2 inches or more higher than my ear. It just looks like a kids helmet onmy head (I'm 36 years old, 5'10 and 195lbs.

This isn't normal is it? shouldn't the helmet sit right near the top of my ear or around 1/2" above?

My wife put it on and it looked perfect on her. Though it wasn't snug enough. So is it me or is this the way these helmets ride on the head?

use the other set of foam that came in the package its thinner. i have a l/xl and the thick foam was on the helmet out of the box and made it a little snug, put the thinner foam that came in the package in and it fits much better.

I just tried that. its slightly better but a no go. I'm going to hit up a bike shop at 10am before my ride and buy another helmet.

Sounds like it is the wrong shape for your head.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common
