My helmet strap is causing chronic ingrown hairs on my neck...

Any tips or ideas on how to fix this unsightly and painful problem? unfortunately growing a beard is not an option...

Put some chamois cream on the strap. Those things get crusty with sweat, and what is good for your soft backside is also good for your neck. Or you could grow a beard. I'm not joking though, the chamois cream will help.

growing a beard is not an option because my beard is thin and funny looking, not because im a chick lol, you dont want any pics yff

i actually loosened my strap yesterday, my first ride with it is tomorrow. My strap was not that tight before so i don't know if it will help, but i think it will.

Laser hair removal? Nah, your helmet just isn't working for you. Try the Fox Flux.

My strap will grab the stubble on my neck if it gets too long. It is painfully annoying. Just keep it shaved clean, and or try washing your strap before it gets dirty and crusty. That solved it for me.

Yep, shave more, and wash your helmet strap more. I sometimes get a shaving rash on my neck from my motorcycle helmet, but that's in hot weather after I haven't washed it for a while.

Get a decent beard. I don't shave that often, never ever washed the strap (by now it has more salt than the dead sea), and never got problems. In a beard vs. strap fight, my bear wins, and grows though the strap if it has to

I can't recommend this enough for after you shave...it works wonders for shaving rash, maybe it will soften your hairs up a little...

Well, push on the visor part and if the helmet goes backwards on your head, that is a bad thing...
