    my attempt at makeshift helmet-cam...

do y'all like video of spectacular scenery, huge air, and screaming downhills... well, you may wanna skip this video then... cause it's got none of that... but it does have some scenes with my dog doing her favorite sport... and a firebird not really living up to its potential (i.e. because of the rider)

You don't need huge stunts to make a cool video This is a perfect example, cool trail and plenty of flow.

    I like it

especially how your dog "pops" off the jumps and ramps, nice. Did you see the one I posted over on the Knolly forum, it had your favorite rock step up on it.

thanks for the encouragement... i think i need a real helmet cam though... i basically retrofitted an old helmet to carry my cannon dc 50 and my neck defintely hurt afterwards

craigstr... i did see it... and i've been looking for potential spots to replicate it 'round here i guess it's a matter of finding the right rock outcrop in the right spot...

on the other hand, i thought about making a miniature version (maybe 3' tall) in the backyard...

GoPro is pretty affordable ($189 retail) and VHoldr has a new HD version coming out for $300.

Pretty fun. I made some with my GiJoes helmet cam and they are really hard to see anything. It's so darn dark on most of our trails.
