    Moto Helmet for DH?

I've seen this topic pop up a few times, with differing opinions. How appropriate/inappropriate are DOT moto (dirt bike) full-face helmets for DH? I haven't been able to find a MTB-specific full-face helmet large enough for my big melon, so I have to go the moto route.

I have friends who use DOT moto helmets

they're a bit heavier, although you can't really notice it while riding... but I can't tell you much about the safety factor

Then read those threads? This thing has been beaten to death. Then resurrected, then beaten to death again. And resurrected a few more times, and then beaten to death each time.

Everyone knows, to neutralize a zombie you have to inflict massive head trauma or separate the head from the body.

C'mon people, this is Day One stuff here.

Im riding a Shoei Vfx-w and it only weight's 1275g,i didn't noticed the weight of the helmet ounce it's on my head.Great ventilation, very comfortable with a great fit and a very safe helmet .

You also may consider the Airoh Stelt which weight's arround 900g (1.98lbs).
