    Zip tie

I use a zip tie. The combo is a little heavy, but it beats the wire into the back pack

mine is just long enough to feed through a vent in my helmet out to the battery in the top pouch of my camelbak, another inch or so would be great but it works as is. with the right swing i can grab the loose wire and plug it into the light.
