    Least DBX 3.0 AM Helmet

I picked one of these up after trying it on 10 times over the past 6 months, and much hemming and hawing. I have a Giro Montaro, which is pretty good, but has the exploding pads, and an annoying habit of occasionally pinching the side of my head.

The Leatt fits my noggin perfectly, and the visor can be raised up slightly, just out of my vision without looking dorky. I got the plain black one, and it looks good IMO. The only slight problem is that the front straps aren't adjustable to give more ear clearance. It was ok, but ideally I liked a bit more. This is common in the reviews, so I got out the sewing machine and adjusted them. I carefully cut the thread, lengthened maybe 10mm, and sewed it back. Not an expert so I stitched 3 times as much as stock, just to be safe. Anyway after a few rides I'll post back.

The magnetic buckle is very good, and very easy to use.

Another problem that is not unique to Leatt, it the visor cuts off the beam of my headlight. With my older helmets I always removed the visor at night, and I will have to with this one as well.

Sorry, I don't know much about your topic, but at least wanted to be a friend. :-) You misspelled leatt in your title.

How is the ventilation? How well does it work with the chin bar removed for just regular single track compared to a regular open face helmet?

I have just the regular helmet, sans chin bar. I have been very happy with the fit & ventilation, although fit is very personal. Leatt fits similar to Giro IME.

Ah, I didn't realize there were two different versions.
