Jacket for a cold / windy weather?

Hey guys.

A friend of mine is visiting USA for the next couple of weeks and I thought of asking him to bring me a jacket for a cold and windy weather.

I live in Argentina, and it's winter over here. Weather is usually windy, with temperatures around 0~10 C° (32~50 F°). We don't have any snow though.

Is there any decent option around U$S 50~100? I would love to have a durable yet comfortable jacket for my rides.

If your going to be riding, get some layers. A decent wind breaker outer layer with a fleece (if needed) underneath would be the way to go. I find that any jackets heavier then this make me sweat like crazy!!

I usually wear something like this and arm warmers down to around 30*F. Combine this with some knee/leg warmers, winter gloves, and booties and your good to go. Will be hard to do all this under $100 though.

This won't help the OP, but The Clymb is selling those same jackets for 60 bucks for another 23 hours. They usually take 2 weeks or so for you to get your item due to the nature of the business, but the price can't be beat. I got a sweet Dakine jacket for cheap from them just the other day. I don't normally pimp websites, but thought I'd post since you mentioned that jacket specifically.

It's an auction site for manufacturers to put up last year's leftovers and such. They have 2 or 3 brands for 2 or 3 days then they change it up. I just found out about it recently, but it's pretty cool. :thumbsup: I got the Dakine jacket I mentioned and my brother got a bunch of gear for his girlfriend, including a 661 Recon helmet for $50. The other day they had tents and nice sleeping bags for great deals. I would have bought but I was strapped that week. :p
