    Insoles of shoes

My shoes seem to be eating my socks at the ball of my foot on both feet. The insole have holes in them I guess for air flow during summer or whatever. Just looking for opiinions on any inserts or other insoles that I could switch to that others have had good experience with (if there are any good ones). The shoes are decent and only a year old so would like to not buy a whole new pair right now. Any advice? Any special inserts/insoles or is it as simple as Dr. Scholl's? Thanks.

Well I have Louis Garneau insoles in one pair and I like them. I think they were $20 or $25. Although the Superfeet insoles ($35) have recently been recommended by a couple local friends so I'm thinking of putting those in my winter shoes for a try.
