I need a new helmet! any suggestions?

i dont want/ need a fullface cua im not that crazy! and i only ride trails and do little stunts that arent over 6 feet tall no wait 5 feet!

i was using a protec one before but it gets so hot and doesnt really provide much protection!

I like this one, the metal around the eyes provides that added level of security when blazing thru the trees

Unless you get one of those open air XC helmets, its going to get a little warm in there. I have an olive drab pryme, works for me. :\

Hey, check out the giro Xen helmet, awesome helmet, its got a ton of vents to let you breath in those hot days, its also got really good "back head" coverage, its mainly designed for an open face freeride helmet. Its awesome, im loving mine. The only draw back is its like 115$, but seriously, its worth it 115%

I second the xen. I have one as well as a fullface, and its really nice, totally worth it.

I also use a Giro Xen, and love it. Unfortunately my wife paid full price for mine, but you can pick one up for $99.00 at Supergo right now.

i'm new to mountain biking and was wondering something... what's the difference between a protec signature style ($35) and a giro Xen ($150)? i want a helmet in this style (just like the way they look better everything else being equal)... and any advice at all would be much apprecaited.
