    Same here

I am right in between also. Just bought a medium Pneumo and it fits very well.
If you want to wear a skull cap or have a big 'fro or something you may want to
go large, otherwise the medium should fit fine. For me, the retention system
still has room to expand. My head is 59 3/4 cm.

Yeah, it's strange. But oh well.

    no fro & no cap.

    i'm using a size: L Met 5th element.

Looks like there is a spaceship on my head rather than a helmet..

is there plenty of room on your M size helmet?

    Plenty.

Plenty room. I'd go medium. Best fitting most comfortable
helmet I've ever had, and it looks like my noggin might even
be a little bit bigger than yours.

LOL "spaceship". I know what you mean.

If you have never worn a Giro you have to try them on.
The shape is as important as the circumference. The measurements say I should wear a medium. I can just barely get a large Giro on my head and it fits like c##p.
    A medium Bell fits perfectly.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common

    I was in the same....

...spot as you. The large size worked better for me and allows me to wear something under the lid on cold rides. Try them both.

The E2 is a narrower helmet compared to the Zen. Zen in the same size fit better for me, where the E2 was killing my temples. Try both sizes, if you can't cinch the helmet down to their recommendations(meaning little forward and aft and side to side movement) then go with the smaller size.

As far as the Xen goes, I wear a medium. I have several friends that use teh xen. Most of the guys usually wear large helmets, an all wear mediums in the xen. One guy had to get the small, and he always wore mediums in Giro helmets.

    xen $79 at jenson

I just purchased a large Xen that fit my big head nicely.
Had to purchase it at the LBS for $129. Saw in the latest Moutain Bike Action that Jenson has them for $79.00 i hate that i paid $50 more than i could have, but i got to try in on in the store and walk out with it. otherwise, i would'nt have know how well the xen would fit my melon.
