    Helmets?

I'm converting from the road to the Trail finally!
I want to purchase a new helmet for mainly general scenic trail riding & touring, but will occasionally take a trip and do some downhill to get the blood pumping!
Want a good mtb helmet but don't want to look like a roadie!!!
    Any suggestions appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Troy

    It's as easy as 1-2-3

    1-Go to bike shop
2-try on all their helmets in your price-range
3-buy the one you like the best

    No, no thats too easy.

You want a helmet that says " I am super gnar." and " I am so hard core I slam 2L Dews for breakfast."

You must try on said helmet then run straight into a brick wall as hard as you can. If you do not suffer a severe injury then thats a good helmet.

No you pudding, if you don't suffer a serious injury you have to get up and try again.

That's how you pick the helmet, a true AM super gnar helmet takes at least three attempts before you wake up in the ambulance.

like the above poster said try them on. I like the fox flux it fits me reallywell. The 661 recon looks cool too but haven't had a chance to try that on since new model.

Try them all on. Sizes vary from each brand (sometimes with in a brand, too).
