    Helmet for a Stewie-sized head

I'm trying to find a helmet for my son who apparently has a Stewie-sized head. It's apparently quite a bit wider than average (I don't think length is an issue though). He's 7, and can't fit into an adult Schwinn Thrasher helmet. It basically sits on his head with a small gap at the top before his head reaches the helmet padding (imagine trying to put a helmet on a watermelon).

There is some info out there for wide helmets, but it's basically to go with large helmet sizes for adults. That worn't work well for his age as he'd be swimming in the helmet.

Any suggestions on a brand or model that isn't super huge, but is wide?

    Thanks in advance.

I think that the Bell helmets tend to be wider than the others. I also think a One-size-fits all helmet may offer the kind of adjustments you need.

Yeah, Ernie sounds pretty accurate too.

And I have heard that Bell helmets are a little more round than oval, so that's a good place to start. Any other companies to check out?
