look at the azx... doesn't vent very well, but it is a $150 helmet for like $40 (well that's what i got it for anyway...)

but my visor cracked off a cuz of bad storage (piles of helmets/gear)

so i too am looking for a helmet... i thought about using my mx one and tried it once, but it is like 10 lbs!!!!!

you defenatly do not need a snell approved helmet....

they are super heavy and hot. plus biking isn't nearly as extreme as motox or superbiking...

just get the one that fits your budget and u like.

t55 is a reallly nice helmet too.

There are different levels of Snell. The 'B' level is for bicycling. There are higher levels for motorcycling, etc.

    Little known fact
According to the full standards CPSC is basically the minimum amount of safety and Snell is the most 'reasonable' amount of safety (without weighing 30 pounds, etc.). However, a few years back CPSC adopted the Snell standards as their own. Only new helmet designs made in the last few years that are Snell are of higher standards than CPSC. Basically, if the design has been around a while and it's CPSC certified, it's also Snell.
