    Upset helmet question ?

All right I just bought a large giro havoc helemt for mtb and here's the size guide

    Size Guide:

    Small: 51-55cm or 20-21.175"
    Medium: 55-59 cm or 21.75 - 23.25"
    Large: 59-63 cm or 23.25 - 24.75"

Now the guy at the shop sold me a large helmet and when I got home I measured my head and it turns out to be 23" flush, I adjust the large helmet at the smallest possible but my noggin is sitting at the top of it and it doesn't seem to be very very tight, should I bring it back for a medium and have sit very tightly on my head or it's better the wayy I go

Well the helmet should be snug enough so that without tightening up the straps(they shouldn't hang loose when clipped) you should be able to move your head around(even downward) without the helmet falling off. That's with the pads of course. So if you do add more pads and it still is a bit loose then that sucker is too big and it almost sounds like the shop was trying to get rid of extra/overstock, or the sales person didn't know what they were doing.

Did you try it on at the shop?

    Two "no" answers

there's no such word as *bringed* ; there's no strike in Vancouver. The Giro Dist. is in Quebec, which makes it handy to blame the West for their lack of stock. It's high season, to not have one in stock is just bad business on their part and has squat to do with a 1-week tug boat strike in BC.

Get your money back and shop elsewhere. That LBS clearly don't deserver your cash.

No such word as 'deserver' either...

But you're right. The LBS doesn't deserve your cash if they make mistakes with safety equipment.
