    Helmet light
I just purchased the MiNewt X2 for my handle bars and want to get a light for my helmet. Any suggestions on what light I should get and how bright it should be?

My bar lights are 200 lumens each, times 2.

    Thanks,

I have the Seca 700 from L&M and love it. I have a 120 lumen light on my bars, which is kind of pointless with the 700 on my helmet. I would go with at least 500.

I run the MiNewt dual on the bars as well and the MiNewt USB on my lid.

Works great for me. Depends on your reflexes and eyesight.

Exposurelights Joystick (240 lumens) or Diablo (700 lumens).

    2 Newts at 200 lumens each doesn't get you 400 lumens..just two (2) 200 lumens light streams.

Exposurelights IMHO trounce any other offerings out there. Not the cheapest, but you do get what you pay for when it comes to lights and these last forever. Lifetime on the SLEDs, and li-ion batteries are the bomb. 2-10hrs light time depending on brightness opted.

Heading out tonight at 8 PM for a few hours.

    Good Luck.

I run a single MiNewt USB on my helmet and a TriNewt (400 lumens) on my bar. I prefer the bigger blast on my bar and don't need much on my head beyond something that will enable me to read maps and see around switchbacks......or climb fire roads with.

I love my current set up and the MiNewt is so lightweight you don't even know its there.

I use the Niterider trail rat on my helmet.
