    Helmet cam help?
I'm thinking of getting a helmet cam but know absolutely nothing about them. I've read about the Viosport cams. I can't seem to find much info on Sony helmet cams. Are there any others out there? What is good? What should I be looking for in a helmet cam? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sony "helmet cams" don't really exist. Any miniDV camcorder (like a Sony) that you feel comfortable strapping to your helmet with some weight on the other side will work as a helmet cam. The difficult part is strapping it to your helmet in a way that is secure and maybe adjustable. The Viosport cam is just an auxiliary lens that you can plug into the input on a camcorder (or a VCR, but you don't want to carry that with you), and its main benefit is that it's small and easy to mount. You then end up with a camcorder in your backpack where it's nice and safe.
