    Helmet?

I am looking for a new (fullface) helmet for downhill/trail riding but I am unsure of which one to choose. I want something that is light and won't get extremely warm, so well ventilated would be great since I will be biking uphill alot as well.

If I were you I'd get the Giro Mad Max II. It's a very high quality helmet for pretty cheap. It's only $100 on jensonusa.com It's light, and has like 15 vents or something. I have one and it's awesome, I use it in 120 degree heat everyday and it holds up very nice. If you have a whole bunch of money though you could go for a Troy Lee Designs.

Here's a pick of the Giro, I think it's stealth:

Thanks alot. That is exactly the type of helmet I was looking for, and the price is good. I think I'll order one later today.

I was just checking the sizes and it says:

    Small: 51-55cm or 20-21.175"

    Medium: 55-59 cm or 21.75 - 23.25"

Well my head is just about exactly 55cm around. I don't know whether I should go for the small or medium. Overall I would prefer the small because it would most likely be less bulky but I definately do not want it to be constricting on my head. Since you have one now mtbManiak, any thoughts?

Your head size is about the same as mine. I was right on the line between the small and medium. At first I bought a medium but it was too big and felt floppy when I rode, so I sent it back and got the small. It's better to have a tighter fit than too loose, so go with the small. Best of luck!

Thanks again. I just sent in my order to jensonusa.com for a small (red). I also picked up a new pair of gloves and a new jersey. The shipping only cost me $1.
