    Hair Itch Under Helmet

Hi I was just wondering how to stop the itch when I go for rides. It gets very annoying and I am not really sure what causes it
    Any Suggestions????

Many are using a buff under the helmet even in warm conditions. They say it wicks the sweat away from the head.

    Two suggested solutions:

    1. Shave the head: no hair=no problem!
    2. Get a helmet with larger vents:..so that you can reach in with a finger and scratch to your heart's content!

Seriously though, I wear a bandanna under the helmet, which seems to prevent sweat-induced irritation. Seems to work.

    Wash your hair...LOL seriously JK.

More airflow will sometimes help, otherwise a wicking beanie is the way to go.

do you have dandruff? your skull may be dry and flaky and thats why sweat irratates it. if so try some head and shoulders or similar.

This might just be an urban myth from some old house wives.....but I remember hearing some ladies talk about this while in line at the supermarket. This one lady recommend that soaking a baseball cap in olive oil and washing the excess away would reduce the itch.....I really don't know how this would work, but if you are desperate for a fix try it!
