Is this a good deal for a mountain bike helmet?

Just got a mountain bike and am wanting to try some more difficult trails so I need to get a helmet. Are there specific types of helmets for mountain biking, road biking, etc? I saw this one on craigslist and thought I might purchase it.

    TIA for the advice!

I think it's below what that retails for, but I wouldn't buy it. Helmets should be discarded if they're ever involved in a crash/accident, even if the damage to them is not visibly evident. Here are two good helmets in your price range (with universal fit):

I have a Rift and love it (as much as anyone could love a helmet)- the adjuster (which I'd assume is the same as what you'll find on the Indicator) works very well and is comfortable.
Now go home and get your ******* shinebox.

24v - That's a very interesting helmet! I tried googling for more pics but can't find one with someone actually wearing it... do you have any shots of you, or anyone wearing that model? I'm very curious what it would look like on someone.

Here are a few pics of the silver one. I am not the guy wearing it, but I did buy one as a spare because it is too cheap to pass on.
