    Go to helmet

After 44 years Iím looking for a helmet. Which helmet do I get? Has to not look stupid, cost a ton and not weigh a lot.

You will have to try a few on personally. Different brands fit differently. There are a few brands that I can't wear at all because of the shape of my head.

Not all heads are created equal...I've used helmets for years in skiing, mountain biking and motorcycles and some designs just don't fit me well. Best to try some on and figure out which models fit your melon best, what size, etc. Lots of variables...riding climate, type of riding (full face or open), able to attach helmet mount for light, removable liner to wash occasionally, etc.

You should be able to find a great helmet for well under $100 once you get it figured out.

This here is my most favorite helmet, but tastes vary so what works for me might not for you.

Define what you mean by looking stupid? And what is your budget?

I have a Bontrager Quantum MIPS helmet in flat black I think looks good and it wasn't a fortune.

By not stupid I mean something not flashy and minimal. My budget is under $100.

The Quantum Mips is $99 US and flat black is about as basic as you can get! I like mine.

Ive always liked the look and style of the Giro stuff. They have a lot of good options under $100. Mine is really old and I am looking for a new one as well.

I just picked up a fox flux for my son for well under $100. previous years model.

Giro has always fit my larger head great... Chronicle MIPS and Feature MIPS are both under $100.

If you are a sweater then I definitely recommend getting a Sweat Buster from TraxFactory to add to the cost.
