    Gloves for MTB
I recently built up a new bike and my hand grips are little to none. On top of that i had a bad fall recently and my palm is bruised up pretty badly. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for gloves that have a huge amount of cushioning on the hands and are very grippy.

    Thanks

Just go to your local motorcycle dealership or motorcycle gear shop (such as Cycle Gear if you live in a metro area) and pick up some light-weight dirt bike riding gloves.

You should be able to find a pair for 10-15 dollars on sale.

Go to your local bike shop (LBS) and have a look at padded cycling gloves , you might also want to look at grips while your there . Grips can and will make a huge difference for you .

I recently bruised the heel of my right hand in a fall. Riding became painful. I tried a set of Ergons and found them very helpful. The only drawback is on downhill techy stuff I can't get my palm behind the grip as well and have to grab it really tightly for control. However, the grips still made it possible for me to keep riding with minimum discomfort. I've healed enough to switch to a comfy pair of WTB foam grips, and after a while I'll likely be back to my ODIs.

The Bont. Satellite Fusion GelFoam glove is the cushiest/most padded glove I have ever seen that was intended for MTB use. Might wanna check them out...

I got these last season and they hold up very well. Plus you can just throw them in the washer and mine still look brand new! I got mine on ebay. :)

I prefer really good grips and lightly padded gloves. I have less problems that way. Current set up is: Yeti Grips with Pearl Izumi Elite Full Finger gloves. The carbon bar probably doesn't hurt either.
