    Gloves!!!???

Looking for some All-Mountain gloves... i have just purchased some Large Oakley Factory Pilot 2.0. They have arrived and they are a bit small, so im going to send them back.

They feel like nice gloves, but im just a bit concerned that they look a bit...gay???

What does everyone else use, any better reccomendations? Or should i just get the XL version?

    Cheers,

661, Raceface, and Troy Lee make good durable XL gloves that are for long fingered persons. Dakine makes good gloves in XL but sometimes they are hard to find.

And Hezza it might be the pink leather short shorts that make you feel "alternative"

I go to discount Moto-x sites sometimes for mine.

    I have always liked:
    Fox Flexair
    Fox Sidewinder
Fox Solo (dunno if they're still around)
    Troy Lee (very good fit)
    Thor Core
    Thor Phase
Rockgardn (don't remember the model, but they're the carbon knuckled ones)
    Specialized BG

My fav. for fit would by my old Troy Lee's. They're 'bout shot though. As far as looks go, the carbon knuckled ones are pretty Gnar as well as the Dakine gloves.

Fox Sidewinder , holding up for 2 years now.
Might try 661 Comp in future, they get great reviews and cost 1/2 of Fox' over here.

I ride with POW gloves over XC/road fingerless. THe POW gloves dont have much padding, but they vent so nicely that the XC gloves (wich have padding) dont even make it too hot.

I have been using Mechanix (auto repair) gloves for a while and they work great. this is my current fav pair (M-pact):

    They were $30 from e-Bay.

The original ones are good too and dirt cheap at $10.

The thing I like about them is that you still have good finger sensation. I hate not being able to feel anything under the gloves on the trail. With these you get good sensation and feedback. They clean up nice and have been quite durable. I highly recommend you check them out. I also feel they are quite low on the gay factor "(Not that there is anything wrong with that.)"
Remember to keep the rubber side down. It hurts a lot less that way.

I don't know about your gloves sexual preferences. I do think the 2.0 Factory Pilots are a little bit of overkill unless you're doing dirt jumps at the level of Nathan Rennie.

I do love my Oakley Dirts, tho. Lots of support and protection.

I have the Troy Lee XC gloves. They breathe well and seem to be holding up longer than my Fox sidewinders did.

I had a bad pair of Black diamond gloves. I got them 'cause they were available and not too expensive at the time. Died in three months. I now have a pair of Fly 303s (http://www.danscomp.com/633023.php?cat=SAFETYGEAR) They seem to be working well enough though I think its too early to tell.

    Thanks guys,

Perhaps the word of the use gay wasn't exactly right, being a mainly American forum.

Over here in England, the word takes more of a general term, not refering to sexual preference! Sorry for any offence.

Anyway, good advice, i may take a trip to a look at them in real life.

    Thanks,
    Chris
