Giro Empire VR90s - sole failure!

Hope this isn't shades of Terraduro all over again... 1/4 season in with way less riding than I'd like (2x/wk max), both shoes have lugs tearing off on the inside near the ball of the foot.

And no, the pedals weren't contacting the inner lug during release, if anything release was a bit TOO easy.

They do that, warranty them. I feel there are no excuses for this shoes should last at least a few seasons.

I'm starting to get some heel separation on mine. Not pleased.

How much do you weigh? One of my riding buddies is a clyde and he experiences similar issues. He's generating a lot of force and can quickly destroy shoes with design flaws.
Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

Is that actually 2 piece design or did it rip at the thin part connecting toward the Vibram logo?

Appears to have ripped. I'm 165lbs and way out of shape, so no way am I abusing these things. Only reason I'm on carbon soles is these were the narrowest shoes I could find without a tiny little toebox.
