The Deviant is supposed to be a nice lid.

I use a Giro Remedy...Was about $100. Had the good fortune(?) or eating it on a landing sunday and rattled my melon all over the ground...no probs LOL.

I second the Remedy. I had mine all Summer long riding Highlands, plenty of vents for cooling. Never felt heavy, but I don't use it for trail riding.

I wear my for trail rideing often and it's certainly no Xen, but it breathes well. I wear my Xen when it's warm.
