    Flat pedal shoes

Hey all, I know there is already a pretty good thread going on for flat pedal shoes but I don't want to steal the thread and I'm getting a little overloaded with sifting through everything there. I will give some info on what and how I ride and then hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. My budget is $100.

    I ride:
-Almost entirely single track. The rest would be fire roads or similar. There will be a decent amount of elevation gain and loss on some rides (2000-4000).
-No big jumps or anything too technical.
-I may be pushing the bike through occasional snowbanks and riding through streams so the shoe's performance while wet could be a factor.
-I have Rockbros pedals with pretty knobby pins on them.
-I'm still very much a beginner. This is my first season of ever biking in the mountains.

I'm mostly debating if I should go flat bottoms or just a hiking type shoe.

I ride with Sketcher Vigor 2.0 you can get them from Amazon for $50 depending on color.. I have been using them now for a full year on Shimano Saint pedals, mostly single track, fairly technical trails. I switched the strings out for elastic strings. I am thinking about buying several more pairs, in case they discontinue them.

I actually wear them often with I am walking or hiking, they are very comfortable.

Look at the 510 freerider elements. Those are great shoes with a bit of weather protection. I don't have the element model but their Stealth rubber will stick well even when wet. Soles are decently firm to help with foot fatigue...plus they look good enough to wear off the bike too.
