    downhill long pants

    do you guys knee pads inside the pants?

    what's so special about the downhill pants?

    Also if you wear them when not riding you might be allowed to use special "preferred" parking spaces.

    for real though: downhill pants...yes. kneepads underneath. And what's awesome is how much they protect you from abrasions in crashes. Love my TLD pants.

    fabrics cut for rider attack position, enter stupid acronym here
    abrasion resistance because duh
    lack of pocket(s) because landing on keys/phone really sucks/hurts
    ratchet/buckle system because you dont want to be mooning people until you want to
    crazy colors/flashy graphics because for racing at least its hard just to read their numbers(coming from motocross) i prefer my black Fly Racing Kinetic pants in black.
    stretchy and meshy fabrics stragegically placed because plumbers butt and thumbs up for any ventilation you can
    expensive because of everything I just said above

    I tried on fox TLD and fly. I bought fly. best buckle adjustment/retention system out there. blows fox out of the water. a touch better imho than TLD but 20 buck cheaper. graphics and logos are all discretionary
