New question here. Does anybody make a wide shoe?

It seems like cycling shoes run really narrow. I'm looking for shoes that either are made wider than normal or come in wides. I don't have large feet (men's 8.5) but my feet are wide so I usually have to get a half to full size larger which is annoying.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks.

    Eric

I have to get wider shoes when I'm shopping for them in general but I found that Five Ten shoes were actually built a bit wide, so that worked out for me. That and some SuperFeet Green insoles.

Sidi, specialized (in the higher end ones), shimano, lake...etc. You just have to pay to get into that game unfortunately.

Latest purchase; SIDI Dominator 5 MEGA. Pretty wide for my retarded feet which were always in fat broad skate shoes, so they look like boat rudder now.

    Check Out Shimano . . .

My ski boot fitter calls me Fred Flintstone (yes, my feet are wide). For road, I use the Specialized Pro model. It is the only model available in wide sizes. I've used Specialized shoes off-road in the past but this time, I was looking for something a little less racey so purchased the Shimano SH-M161G. They don't look all that wide but are surprisingly roomy. They are pretty stiff but you can still walk in them if required. Not sure whether the width is consistent for all Shimanos but certainly worth checking out . . .

    Cheers,

    Mike

Shimano have 'E' sizes for wide feet, in some of their range of MTB shoes.

Shimano SH-M087-E SPD Wide Fit MTB

Shimano SH-M315-E SPD Wide Fit MTB.

I don't know how big Shimano's range is, that have the E sizes.

I have 13EE (sometimes 14 depending on brand/shoe) and so far I have had great fit with Specialized Tahoe and Teva Link shoes. The Tahoes I wear for clipless and of course, the Links are for my flats.

I have fairly wide feet and always opt for wider shoes when shopping. This past weekend, I bought the Keen Springwater shoes and have found that they fit me pretty well. Check them out and see how they fit you.

They were 90 bucks at REI this past weekend too - 25% off.
