Does anybody make baggies that are not so darn long?

I avoid wearing baggy shorts because they all come down at least to, and often past my knee. I am 5'8", so I am short but not the shortest guy out there. In the summer, I sweat profusely and having loose wet material over my knee is not particularly appealing. Are there any baggy shorts that stop mid thigh, about the same length as lycra shorts?

You want lined, or unlined? Seems like you'll have better luck getting some lycra to fit, then going to WallyWorld and getting some sporty shorts there.

If that fails, I have a whole drawer full of baggies that are too short you can have.

Yes ! I agree; don't like shorts hitting my knee pads. Specialized makes baggies that are shorter (perfect length: mid to lower thigh). I don't remember the exact model, but Ill try to find it. They are my favorites, especially in summer

Zoic makes an Ether in a 9" option. Also, Fox Rangers, not the cargo, but the regular Rangers are a little on the shorter side.

Kitsbow makes a couple baggie shorts that are designed more for the lycra crowd with a more snug fit and shorter inseam, but youíll def be out some $$.

My personal solution this season has been adapting trail running / hiking shorts over mtb liners. Iíve got a few pairs of Mountain Equipment shorts in rotation with decent Gore chamois liners. Theyíre maybe not as durable as mtb-purposed shorts, but definitely breath better than any Iíve owned, and the pockets work great. I also tried on a couple pairs of Mammut shorts that didnít fit me as well, but might be worth looking into.
