    Crank Brothers Mallet - Shoes?

What shoes are you using w/ your Mallets? I just bought a set and had to grind away several millimeters of sole on my current shoe to get them to clip in easily. Anybody have a set of shoes that will work right out of the box?

I use 3-4 different types. No sole grinding needed on any though I did use the shims under the cleat.

No problems with '05 Specialized BG Comp, unaltered (but slightly worn in).

A pair of 661 Launch shoes and a pair of 661 Tiburons. Didn't need to grind away sole or use shims.

Sidi Dominators. No shims. No grinding. Works fine.
Getting a dropper post is like getting a bidet. I didn't know I needed one until I get one and boy, does my ass thank me.

Oakley Radar in size 11-shoes are to wide and rubing at the crankarm(XT).
I needed to shim out the pedal with a washer and the shoe just barely passed.
With my old smaller shaped NorthWave shoes I had no problems and I now actually use Lake MX101 shoes with zero issues using the Mallets.

I had to with Performance brand shoes, but not for Diadora or 661 shoes.

Shimano shoes, shimming and grinding. Guess they are spd friendly. Much easier with regular eggs
