    Chrome shoes?
Has anyone tried out Chrome's latest shoe offering?

They look to be just a Vans/Converse clone with a Chrome logo on it. Nothing special.

I was hoping for Chucks that are a bit tougher and with a stiff sole, because my feet hurt when I mash with Chucks on.

What sort of pedals are you using? I have MKS GR-9s and they are comfortable as a pedal can get and still have some performance.

I like the Chrome shoes. I went to check them out on the website expecting not to like them, but they look decent and have great cycling specs. Somewhat weatherproof- more than most shoes, with stiffer soles. I'd say they are worth the bones.

I was wondering why Chuck Taylor's were $70-90 myself....

I have some cheap Tioga pedals with straps, maybe it's time for an upgrade.

First commute on the Chrome shoes and I'm going with good buy.

It was 20 degrees F and my feet were warm with a pair of medium weight wool socks, good stiffness and fit into the straps.

Luckily I got them 20% off so 70 bucks for the shoes wasn't too bad, and only 20 dollars more than Chucks.

Update when you find out how the shoes stand up in wet....
