Cat's fixed. Helmet's finally here too.

Well.. I ordered my Deviant through Specialized in like November. I don't know if my boss was just being a [email protected], or if Specialized forgot about me, but I finally got it.

    The cat was fixed too.

I figured if my mom wasn't going to do the right thing, I was. The cat is still a living creature, and I couldn't bear to watch her suffer.

Yeah. Thanks! At this point in time, it may seem like a wise investment, seeing as how we have two cats. I'm going to blame the other cat for this cat getting sick, she's the one always playing with thread. But really though, I love both the cats, they're awesome.

Just over 1000 grams. A bit lighter than my Maxxis Hookworm tires.

we have a cat with terminal lymphoma, I was told he had about 6 months to live and with treatment, AKA money, he could live that amount of time in complete comfort. That was like a 2 years ago. That damn cat is still going and so is the vet bill!

As pi$$ed as I am I'm glad to have him here, even though I could buy at least 2 DHR frames at this point.

My Mom always said...never let an animal into your home, you will always pay big time!

So... In the morning I have to drop her off for surgery again. The vet says he won't charge me for labor, just the cost of supplies. It's still going to be a fortune. The last operation was only 46 minutes long. Luckily I just got my paycheck. Hopefully it'll be enough to cover it. Thanks to everybody on MTBR for their concern. Thanks to everybody who helped me out and offered me advice. I really appreciate it. And though I may be losing a pet, I've really gained a whole lot more. I guess it's been a real eye opening experience. To see how many good people there are in the world. I guess I've just always been a bit skeptical about the human nature after my dad passed away. It seemed like none of my relatives cared that he had passed away, they were all fighting over the money that he had left behind. Nobody offered to help us, and it was just a really hard time back then. I see now that that isn't always the case. Complete strangers have extended the helping hand to me. And I can't express my gratitude enough to those people. It's really touching.

Pets are like family. One of my cats is anemic. We found out just a little after it turned one. That is about a year and a half ago. So far we have spent over $8k on transfusions and meds for the cat. But I love him and so does my wife and son, so I guess I will keep coughing up the loot to keep him around. If we were to stop the meds, he would be a goner, and we know no one would adopt him since they would have to keep up on all the meds and vet visits, because it comes out to about 200 or so a month.

Well, I just picked her up from the vet. The bill was only 200 since he only charged for anesthetic and sutures. Her intestines were all cut up from the thread and were/are infected. So he cleaned her out and started her on new antibiotics. As long as the fever and vomitting don't come back, she should be ok.

She's ok for now, but there's still the chance the infection and fever may recur.

On a lighter note, I was back in school for a half-day today. Totally amazing day. It's so good to be out of the house after not seeing any friends for 7 days.

Tell your wife thanks for her prayers. And thanks for everybody's support and good wishes through the whole ordeal.

Institute day. Haha, yeah, I've got to say, my gorgeous golden luster is wearing off. Hahaha.

Oh man, I hope your cat gets better. Speaking of the Specialized Deviant, I just got one today, a Medium in Red! Matches my bike good.
