    body armor question (brand?)

What's the brand of the elbow and knee armor where the plastic parts fold over each other like scales? I remember it being referenced a few months ago and it being somewhat costly in comparison to most other gear.

    Thanks and cheers!

Right on, Bionicman. I appreciate the direction since I'm clueless when it comes to armor.

This is for my girlfriend that's looking for something summerweight that allows a lot of movement and probably with a sleeve. Ugh, a nasty forearm landing yesterday has her looking for something to keep the arms pretty.

Might be Dainese based solely on the price comparison. I don't remember any of their armor having the overlap (except for the spine cover which is fairly common now) .

Dainese 3x have the articulated elbows and knees. Very comfortable!

I will not touch Fox branded stuff with a ten foot pole - it does not last - durability & performance simply does not compare to other brands
such as 661, Dainese, Leatt, etc

Wow, that full jacket is fabulous.

I believe that that is the brand that I was looking for. Thank you everyone for the assistance!

That's an older version. The new chest pieces are one piece which are better than the old ones witht he zipper down the center.

I persoanlly use Knox Warroir BC9 and Dainese 3x elbow.

I think you may be asking about POC stuff. I haven't worn them yet, but a few friends who have been into DH for 10+ yrs did and won't even consider anything else these days.

Sizing seems pretty easy too. I think they are @ www.POCsports.com
