Bell Super Air owners: Does your helmet squeak?

I recently busted my Bell Sixer, and thought I’d check out the new hotness, the Super Air.

Upon receiving it, I find that it squeaks very audibly with even minor head movement. The culprit is the “MIPS spherical”, I.e. two layers of foam one inside the other which create the slip plane. These move against each other and make a damned annoying squeak, which of course occurs inches from the wearer’s ears.

I’m curious if this is an issue only with the copy I received? Alternatively, does it go away after a short time or once the helmet gets a bit dusty? Or is this just a flaw with these? Any owners able to comment?

Thinking going back to the the trusty Sixer may be the way ahead...

I had it with my Super DH.
Sent it back and got a new one that is quiet.
Contact Bell or return it if you can.

Yup, it's due to the MIPS. Also a common complaint on the Super DH, which I had until I had to replace it due to a crash. Tolerable when riding, but irritating when you're not and you start to notice little noises
