    Bell Stoker Overkill for XC?

I'm in the need for a new helmet, and with Bell's Stoker on sale for $35 at a few places, I'm highly tempted to pick one up. However, I don't really ride enduro, which is what the helmet seems to be designed for. Are there any downsides to having the extra coverage as compared to something like a Fox Flux or Kali Chakra?

I wear mine for XC all the time.
It fits nice and does not hinder sight or movement.
    Great protection IMO.

The Flux and the Chakra have the extra coverage as well. I've been checking into several helmets like that and honestly I like the idea of having the extra coverage down the back and at the temple area's. I've been looking at some Troy Lee helmets like this as well. I don't believe in skimping on helmets or shoes/boots when talking about riding gear for motocross/offroad motorcycling and I look at this the same way. Get the best helmet you can get then the best shoes you can afford after that.

I love mine. They are a great value and at $35 are a steal. I just picked up another one due to the price and was surprised to find the visor was adjustable. My other two didn't have that feature

Dude protecting your noggin is your business. If someone has an issue with it, **** them.

I wear a fox transition hardshell because I like the coverage.

I bought a met para relic and don't like the coverage, coincidentally.
