    Backpacks for XC riding.

Hi there guys, Im looking for a good bag during my Cross Country trips, Im only talking about 1 day trip, max 8 hrs ! !
I prefer the ones with the net, so the bag isnt leening on you all the time ! ! Not hydration ! ! I have to bottles and plenty of water all over the place

Hydration or no? I have Camel Lobo and it is great for the 6-8 hour trips I do. I'm a minimalist. tube, CO2, multi-tool and food. My buddy has the Nomad he packs backup clothes, full picnic spread, ect. both carry 3 liters of water.

Osprey Raptor, get the size that works best for you. I have the Raptor 14 and its plenty big for any day trip biking or hiking. But cinches down and doesn't have much bulk to make it cumbersome for a 2 hour bike ride.

I've got a deuter attack. not huge but sufficient for a day ride. also has a hard shell separated from your back by mesh so you don't get stuff poking into your back. I also use it skiing. Think it has some sort of body armour rating...

pretty good over the last 4 years. very durable material too. sliding on ice = no probs.
