Azonic Z-6 (or any upper body armor) sizing question

I'm stuck deciding between the Small and Medium size in the Z-6 armor. The medium feels great everywhere except my shoulders where its a little loose no matter how tight I adjust the chest straps. The small is really, really snug everywhere, to the point of being borderline uncomfortable. I figure that would be more protection since it won't move but I think it will really inhibit my riding since its hard to move at all.
I won't be using the suit all that much, would it be better to just wear the medium? I've been told that as long as I wear a jersey on top it won't shift in a crash.

I would get the medium, because you will probably grow some in the next year besides why don't you lift some weights and make the upper body stronger - the girls will love that too

I do pushups and lift everyday but more for general health, not so much to 'bulk up'. I am thinking about joining a gym though so I could lift and do spinning classes. I dropped 50 pounds not too long ago so now its just about building some muscle.
