Armor Lid truck bed cover with fork mounts anyone try?

Just ordered one of these (http://www.armorlid.com/) for my Tacoma. I have a hitch mount bike rack but not a fan, with full suspension mountain bikes. Was thinking of buying 3 fork mounts and just mounting to the lid and keeping them on there. Has anyone used a set up like this? If so how has it worked? Any issues?

that looks like a nice top. in the past, we have mounted fork blocks, like the yakima blockhead to the undercover tops (similar to this top). the key here is having a metal plate fabricated that you can put underneath the top, and even one more just underneath the blockhead to help ease the burden on the top itself. any lowes, or home depot should have something like that, or a metal fabricator probably has some scrap lying around.
    good luck...post pics.

I was just thinking of using to big washers on the bottom side to distribute the weight on the cover. I was also going to silicone it so it would not leak. Good thing my brother in law is a metal fabricator, may have to have him make something up. The top itself though appears solid as heck.
