    Airbag Helmet

Cannot see this coming into use for MTB, but pretty cool to see it in action.

I heard something about some of the racers at the Isle of Man TT testing personal airbag systems this year. Looks like the beginnings of something straight out of the sci-fi novel "Snow Crash".

To make you post silly questions, apparently. You know that isn't a "dude," dummy?

Yeah, I have seen posts of full on vests/full body airbags that are gaining acceptance in motorcycle and equine sports.

I'd rather survive an auto collision as a giant bouncing blackberry....

It is a Swedish contraption. Their site has a video where they interview a couple of ladies with pretty OK hair. A fashion thing to get people to use some head protection instead of none.

I'll see if I find that site again...

edit: I already posted it in another thread....

A scarf that works as an air bag helmet.

(fast forward to the crash tests after 00:40)

I think I'd trigger it on most trail rides...

i have a feeling that anyone willing to wear that contraption around their neck would be willing to don a helmet.

and how loud is it? I couldn't really tell from the video.
I live with Fear everyday. If I ask nicely, she lets me ride.
