    Air Bag Bike Helmet

    Heard about this on the news the other day. Interesting concept of a wearable air bag for bicyclists to replace the helmet. With a price tag of $450 and having it cover the entire neck (hot!) I just don't see this product being widely accepted.

    And I'm sure it only weighs 15 pounds...

    By the way, why on earth would they show a biking product on a model that's outfitted like that? Oh, wait... I just checked the site. They're Swedish. That's why...

    A prototype system that uses the airbag to imobilize the head and neck from hyperextension trauma for bicycles and motorcycles.

    Latest design shows a cord attachment deployment that fires when you go off of the bike. Yeah, it's prolly new and bulky, but give it time. I think this is a fantastic idea.
